Preparing for Answered Prayers

Ever wonder why God won’t just make life easier for you? Why you must go through such rough patches in life; despite your consistency in prayer, devotion, and in ministries? Perhaps it’s God’s way of telling you that He is planning to use you for something bigger than what you have prayed for. 

I used to think an answered prayer is simply God saying “yes” to what you asked for; as long as it’s in His will. But now that I thought about it, an answered prayer can also reflect perseverance, that despite all setbacks; the Christian still chose put trust and faith in God. 

And for me, it was that voice inside my head saying “everything is going to be okay” in the brink of giving up, that voice wasn’t me trying to tell myself to keep going, but it was God speaking to me and perhaps through me as well; because personally I used that line many times whenever someone I know is also going through it. 

As someone who has been going through trials and difficulties lately, it’s hard not to ask God these questions, but it has been a blessing to change the way you perceive things, because I truly believe that through these rough patches; it reveals how much we put trust in Him and in Him alone.
